Creating Folder for Exam
Today is the last day for me to accept missing work! Make sure you check Skyward to see that it is accurate according to what you have done. Tell me immediately if you finish an assignment, ESPECIALLY THE SHUTTER SPEED SHOTS, 2 frozen movement, 2 blurred motion.
Some people have finished all of their work AND have chosen to take the written portion of their exam early. After discussing the Exam Rubric, they will begin. With that in mind, there will be NO TALKING from that point forward.
Cameras are available for those that need to shoot for any missing work OR the Final Shot of the exam. Please do so without talking!
If you sign up to take a camera today and go shooting, be quick and efficient about it. There are many that need to shoot. Let the next person on the list know when you are done and they can start.
Exam Study Guide and Rubric

Bellwork: Hour Goal on a sheet of paper. Show me your list of shots you plan to get before you take a pass. I will need to see those shots when you get back.
Return by 1:25
Check Skyward! Pick ONE assignment that you will definitely get points for today. Pick one and write that goal in your journal.
If you get more than that done, GREAT! Otherwise, lets get things done one step at a time :)
Today, we are flexible. We will be sharing our computers with Mr. Moore's students. Therefore, as many as possible will be out getting shots.
Make a hard copy list of the shots you will capture today....you could easily get all of the shots needed for assignments 2-4 in one session.
You need to show me your list to get a Photo Pass.
TOMORROW, WE MOVE ON WITH A NEW ASSIGNMENT.

Exploration of Photopea
Here is a free online site that uses .psd (photoshop) files. It is so close to Photoshop in setup and tools that you would be able to figure out how to do the things you need to do from home AND from your Chromebook. I bring it up for those of you that are mostly behind because of Photoshop/weebly assignments.
USE TODAY TO WORK ON COMPUTER WORK. YOU WERE GIVEN A NEW PHOTOSHOP ASSIGNMENT YESTERDAY IN THE ELEMENT/COMPOSITION GRID ASSIGNMENT.
USE THE RESOURCES/INSTRUCTIONS AND PHOTOSHOP FILE FROM YESTERDAY TO COMPLETE THE ASSIGNMENT USING GOOGLE IMAGES.
IF/WHEN YOU FINISH AND SHOW THE GUEST TEACHER THAT IT IS COMPLETED, YOU MAY USE A PHOTO PASS TO COLLECT ANY REMAINING SHOTS YOU NEED FOR PREVIOUS ASSIGNMENTS.
ASK PHOTO 2 STUDENTS FOR HELP IF YOU NEED IT. THEY DID THIS ONE ALREADY!
OTHERWISE, I AM AVAILABLE THROUGH EMAIL. I WILL TRY TO RESPOND ASAP.
Attack the Composition and Elements assignment from Tuesday. Save as a jpeg when complete and show for credit BUT also save as a psd file so if you make mistakes, you can go back and fix them for more points. Remember, you are asked to filled one column/row per element/composition but you can fill the whole chart for extra credit!
Things to do:
- help someone with their missing work
- be a model or photo assistant for Photo 2 students
- watch Pupparazzi Episode 2 (this link worked at home, you may have to google it to find another link)

Log into computer and go to weebly site...then turn your monitor off and wait for attendance.
Those close to the screen may want to move their chairs back in order to see the movie. Do not let digital devices or classmates distract you. Listen to the photographers and coaches as they plan, analyze, and shoot. Listen to the strengths AND the weaknesses. THIS is where we are headed!
Link: Top Photographer Episode 3
Pause the movie at 16 minutes 40 secs and vote for who you think won the Top Shot.
Link: Your picks for who wins and who goes home.
If all went well with attendance, video and voting, you should have about 20 minutes left to create. Use that time to finish your Viewpoints and Levels Photoshop work and Weebly post. We are getting into new information and new assignments tomorrow. You'll want to be ready for that.
If your get stuck, ask the Photo 2 students and those near you. There are plenty of experts in the room.
If you need personal help from me OR have some points to turn in, email me. I will try to respond ASAP.

Top Photographer Episode 2
Pause the movie at 16 minutes 20 secs and vote for who you think won the Top Shot.
Your picks for who wins and who goes home.
If all went well with attendance, video and voting, you should have about 20 minutes left to create. Use that time to download and edit letters for your ABC project. We will be working together to put it all together on Thursday. You'll want to be ready for that.
Your guest teacher is comfortable in Photoshop as well as Graphic Design. Ask for feedback and/or help on your designs.
Between your guest teacher, Photo 2 students and those near you, you have plenty of help.
If you need personal help from me OR have some points to turn in, email me. I will try to respond ASAP.

Today is the last day to work on your Elements pretest in class!
We are moving on tomorrow!
WHEN YOU ARE DONE, MOVE YOUR SLIDESHOW INTO YOUR PRETEST FOLDER! If you don't know how, ASK!
Tell Mrs. Jones you are done and she will take your entire pretest folder OUT of your folder......so you need to have:
All done with everything? Want a peek into the future so you can start gathering photographs?
My motto for this class will be, "The more pictures you have to choose from, the better!" This preview will give you a chance to start collecting shots.
In an effort to start training your eye to look at EVERYTHING as a possible shot, you will start to look beyond what an object actually is......to the shape that is created by its edges, lines, and even shadows. How many letters can you collect?
Bonus tip! Notice how the "letters" fill the picture?

Review of Pretest Goals
Below are two sample pretests created by students last year. They are not necessarily the best or the worst but a great visualization of what has been done with the same set of instructions.
(NOTE: These students were not allowed to work together or given any help on what each element means. They had to figure it out based on what they knew already and any personal research they did. You'll note that some descriptions are wrong and/or do not accurately represent the element as it pertains to photography. YOU HAVE THE ACCURATE INFORMATION!)

Remember, the following are due by today:
- Who would be the best presenter?
- Do you need a script? Who will write the script? Put together what will be said....all can contribute here, not necessarily one person. Make your explanations clear and easy to understand!
- Add a slide to your slideshow with your names and how each of you contributed to the presentation (slide design, research of terms, research of images, script writer, presenter, etc.)
- Presentation Rubric chat-Presentation Rubric
- Use the next 5-10 minutes to practice/run through your presentation. Remember, you are required to teach the class about your Element of Art AND your style of photography.
- Those NOT presenting will take notes using a hard copy version of Elements and Styles Presentation notes. This will be collected at the end of all of the presentations AND used as a cheat sheet for our first photo shoot. In other words, you need something to write with...I'll get you the handout shortly.
- Sometime this hour check Skyward to see if you have something done that I have marked as missing....
